Then yesterday I get this in my Yahoo email:

What a crock of shit! They make it sound like I was trying to sell Amway or something! So I had to spend another couple hours this morning changing code again and moving it all back to the Earthlink server. Hey, their FTP my be crappy and take several minutes to actually show the changes, but at least I don't get stupid ass emails and a bunch of Fascist Assholes deleting my stuff on a whim!

Oh, the BS gets even better. After getting the afore-mentioned email, I sent them the following response:
I would like to know in what way I was using my Geocities site as a "door or signpost to another home page." Is this your subtle way of telling your users that they are not allowed to include links to other websites on their homepage or have a multipage site? If this is the case, then I'm glad that you closed my site, because I'm now considering closing my entire Yahoo! account (opened in 1996). What is the point in offering people the chance to put up a website of their own if you are going to pull socialistic tactics like this?
So then I get the following reply from Geocities:

Thank you for writing to Yahoo! GeoCities.

OK, so now I'm really pissed. What kind of a webhost tells a developer that they can't put links to any other page. What? I'm supposed to do a single page site with now links? Appears to be the case. So, here was my final response to Yahoo! Geocities earlier today:
There's no point in my doing a site if I can't link to other sites. Thankfully, all my files were also stored locally on my PC so no data was lost. That policy is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen; why would I want to host my site with you if I can't include links to friend's websites or favorite places? I was considering getting premium service from Geocities, but there's no way I'd host a site with such a Fascist organization. Please feel free to delete the account; I am now seriously considering canceling all of my Yahoo services even though I've been a subscriber since 1996 as a result of such moronic policies.
I've yet to get a response to that one. But odds are that within the next few days I'll be canceling all my Yahoo! services and deleting my entire account, which is really sad since I've had it since my freshman year of college. ~ JC
I never did cancel all of my Yahoo services, but only because, at present, it's the only way I have of keeping up with SPHL news. If I find another forum for the SPHL that updates as often as the yahoo groups one, I'll drop Yahoo like a hot rock.
